Jonathan started painting in November 2024 during a difficult period that completely changed his outlook on life. What began as a way of working through that time quickly became something much bigger. He now paints full-time, using oil to explore the mystery, colour and atmosphere of the world around us.

His early self-portrait captures where it all began - glassy red eyes, a distant stare, slightly dishevelled. It isn’t pretty, and it isn’t meant to be. It’s a reminder of the hard moments that shape us and force us to grow.

Jonathan’s work is rooted in endurance and revival. Each painting carries a piece of his journey: honest, evolving, and driven by a desire to find beauty even in the darker chapters of life. Through his landscapes and expression, he hopes others feel that same sense of resilience and possibility.
