Manchester has some beautiful canals, especially around Saddleworth. This scene depicts the Huddersfield Narrow Canal flowing over the River Tame near Saddleworth CC. This piece was the very first image Jonathan painted in November 2024 and therefore marks the beginning of his artistic journey. This painting captures optimism and celebrates the two waterways that provide this part of Manchester with so much life and soul.
